Quilt Room Progress - Part 2

Goals #5 and #6 are now done. The miscellaneous bins and storage baskets I collected last week (below) have been sorted and stored.
The space I cleared in the corner from last week's post...
has been turned into a design wall!  I'm using a Block Butler which has a sticky surface on both sides. I've had it for years and it stuck really well to my wall downstairs. So far, not so much here but some push pins to the rescue and I'm good to go. Ignore the halo from my recessed light on the top right, we are having another grey day so I need all the artificial light I can get.

I could have thrown a few more blocks up there maybe! That's my Four Patch & Friends UFO made from 2.5" strips and is one of my 100 Day Hustle Goals that is likely to carry over into 2013.
No sewing so far today, but I have been busy with a lot of gift wrapping!  And I'm making my lists and checking them twice... one more shopping trip tomorrow before we celebrate with my side of the family on Saturday.
Before year end I'll have the "Big Reveal ala HGTV" of my Quilt Room ready for action in 2013!

  1. I like what's on your design wall. I have the block butler, also. It doesn't work for me. I had to use push-pins to hold it onto the wall. I can only put blocks up for a short time while I'm working. If I don't take them off before I leave the room, they're on the floor the next time I come in. Pretty soon, that's going in the trash and a proper design wall is going up.
