Check it out... my 1st blocks of 2015~
And, judging by my rather small collection of blue scraps, there won't be too many more bowtie blocks made today. Perhaps some crumb blocks?
Elsa is delighted to be back in her "helper" role. So far she has batted the cover to my seam ripper under my cutting table, chewed some painters tape off my Angler 2 on the dresser, attacked some blocks on my design wall and stolen my pencil repeatedly.
All in a day's work she says... I also carry stray bits of thread in my fur just for you Mom!
I've always loved to make things. Join me while I reboot my creativity, create a new quilting room and tackle LOTS of unfinished projects.

Adorable! Oh, and I like your bow tie blocks too.
ReplyDeleteThose bow tie blocks are awesome. I am going to sit down tonight and make some.
ReplyDeleteIt really is just a cat sort of day!! Great bowties
ReplyDeleteElsa is adorable and so are the bowties.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as though you're enjoying yourself. Good!
ReplyDeleteBowties are the best! Easy to make, and they look great. I am making them too.
ReplyDeletecute bow ties and even cuter cat. She is a wonderful helper if she can do all of those things.
ReplyDeleteBTW - I downloaded the cat games app and my lazy 13 year old cat just loves the mouse version. He just sits and watches the pink dot and the butterfly but he gets excited and swats at the mouse. Too funny! Thanks for sharing that.
How can that be? No blue scraps? Check in your fat quarters and start cutting. I am playing with blue in February. I can't even shut my blue drawer. Love your bow tie blocks. Perhaps this will be the year I finish my bow tie quilt
ReplyDeleteHow lovely a helper you have LOL! Cats are never boring for sure! I like your bow tie...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteshe wants to play along side you. Imagine her at a retreat!! With all the tables and design walls to investigate. I sent your post on ipad apps to my friend Martha Ginn as she is a quilter and adopted three kittens last year. They keep her laughing.
ReplyDeleteLeeAnna at not afraid of color
a bow tie quilt was my first quilt ever.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your helper is ready to take notes for you.
Lovley fabrics used and isn't great to have a willling helper!!
ReplyDeleteGotta live these fur babies. Nice bow ties.
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea to make bow tie blocks out of crumb blocks. Way to think outside the lines!
ReplyDeleteLove your little helper! Mine usually sits on the cutting table in such a position that it makes it impossible for me to cut anything. Bowties are on the agenda for this week for me, but so far I haven't had a chance to make any.
ReplyDeleteAlmost like having a toddler in the sewing room!
