Month in Review

A lot of thread did fly in September as it was a very good month of quilting. The best part hands down was making progress on all four of my most aggravating stalled out projects! One redesigned and finished (Easter Stacked Coins), one to flimsy stage and about to depart for quilting (Four Patch & Friends), one complex block paper pieced (My Sewing Sanctuary) and the last one is up next for quilting (Thimbleberries Jacob's Ladder).

I finished 6 UFOs bringing my Collection down to 44 and certainly built my confidence for quilting larger tops myself with 9 Patch Swap.
1. Charm Quilt #4, 2. Charm Quilt #5, 3. 9 Patch Swap, 4. Easter Stacked Coins, 5. ABC Charm Quilt, 6. Puppies for Rylan

I also participated in the Pin It Blog Hop, finished 2 WIPs and completed my September paper pieced block for the "And Sew On" BoM.

1. Pin It Blog Hop, 2. Basket in Marmalade, 3. Schnibbles "Gentle Art" in Bonnie & Camille's "Marmalade", 4. "My Sewing Sanctuary"

And I brought 5 more UFOs to flimsy stage in September.

1. Pandora's Box in Teal, 2. Mod Art, 3. Four Patch & Friends, 4. Cool Sparkles, 5. Christmas Rail Fence

So I really have no complaints at all about September Sewing! My goals ended up looking like this:

1-UFO#1 TB Jacobs Ladder*
2-UFO#2 Puppy Baby Quilt-DONE!
3-UFO#3 ABC Charm Quilt-DONE!
4-UFO#4 Charm Quilt #4-DONE!
5-UFO#5 Charm Quilt #5-DONE!
6-NewFO Project-DONE!
7-And Sew On Blocks*
8-RSC13 Blocks (Taking Month OFF!)
9-Finish 2 WIPs-DONE!
10-Pound Some Nails-DONE!
*In Progress

I'm looking forward to a post showing you the latest updates in my quilting room in early October as I've finally hung some things on the walls and filled up most of my storage units. It's truly a work in progress as I have a list of ideas for what to do next.

For my October goals I'm wanting to keep the pedal to the metal as far as UFO Finishes go. I'll talk more about this in my Q4 goal setting post later in the week.

1-Finish 6 UFOs
2-Finish 1 WIP
3-NewFO Project
4-And Sew On Blocks (June, July, August)
5-RSC13 Blocks

I'm choosing Thimbleberries Jacob's Ladder as my October Finish for A Year of Lovely Finishes. I'm hoping the 3rd time will be the charm!
I'm linking up to Fresh Sewing Day@Lily's Quilts, October Goal Party@Sew Bittersweet Designs, The Year of the Finished Project@Never Too Hot to Stitch and Nothing but UFOs@A Passion for Applique.
