So far the March Madness games today haven't been too exciting, which is probably OK as I needed to get some sewing done. I have about an hour of stitching left on my main piece for the Embroidery Blog Hop so I'm excited to finish that up tonight and have a little time to decide whether it should be a pillow or a wall hanging.
My Birds in the Air blocks are done which concludes my month of sewing with orange. Making these blocks always leave me wanting more... it's so nice to have a project like that to look forward to each month!
I don't think I've tried the above layout before but it's kind of fun.
I like the big chevron layout too.
And a close up to better see the fabrics. I'm wishing I hadn't used the fabric that reads yellow instead of orange, but it's too late now. I wonder what color will we be creating with next month? I know that I am longing to see some green outside!
I'm linking up to ScrapHappy Saturday@soscrappy.
I've always loved to make things. Join me while I reboot my creativity, create a new quilting room and tackle LOTS of unfinished projects.
Looking good!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look great! Those yellow-orange fabrics look just fine with all the rest.
ReplyDeleteThe top one is kind of like a pinwheel.
ReplyDeleteAll the different lay-outs are great, how to choose? I like the little yellow/orange bits, I think it's nice when everything isn't perfectly matched.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are gorgeous! You have some beautiful orange fabrics!
ReplyDeleteThese are so much fun. Your going to have lots to play with at the end of the year.
ReplyDeletevery pretty!
ReplyDeleteThose orange "Birds in the Air" look so crisp with the white--lovely work Julierose
ReplyDeleteDifferent layouts are fun to play with. The big chevron is neat.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking April's color will be blue or green. We are expecting three days of snow, still no green around here.
Am lovin' the orange (including the more-yellow one!). Reminds me of the Dreamcicles I bought as a kid. Yum! Hugs, Doreen
