Someone New

Who is this little cutie perched on my lap this morning?
Last night my husband called from a friend's house saying he had a stray kitten hanging around outside all day and wondered if he should bring it home. With our forecast for overnight lows at -25 degrees I said yes of course. Our daughter headed out for Kitten Chow and then kitty spent the evening moving from lap to lap and purring nonstop!
As kitty appears to be a she I've been calling her Elsa because of her fuzzy little lion mane! If you have never seen the movie "Born Free" Elsa is an abandoned lion cub.
As long as she checks out with our vet and isn't on any lost posters around town it looks like Tucker will have a new little sister. He is lukewarm at best about this new development!
She is quite skinny but adorably sweet. Right now she is back on my lap purring contentedly.

  7. What a cutie pie! I hope everything works out as it looks like she has already has made herself at home. I'm sure Tucker will warm up to her and soon they will be sleeping curled up in one big mass of fur babies.

  9. Oh.. she is totally adorable!
I think you should consider her an early Christmas gift!

How lucky for her, and you, that your fates connected. We found our cat similarly - or I should say, he found us - five years ago, and we feel completely blessed.

  12. What a lucky kitty to have been found and brought in before the temps outside dropped so low. I lost my kitty of 15 years just before Thanksgiving and am missing a kitty that sits on my lap. I hope you are able to keep her she looks adorable and very happy.
