A Quiet Saturday

With yesterday's tragedy heavy on my mind I feel the need to retreat and cocoon. Somehow this fresh coating of snow feels comforting today.
I turn to Quilting Therapy when I feel out of sorts. I usually don't quilt late at night but I couldn't sleep. I did have to rip out this whole section after I found a big tuck in the backing... but I sandwiched it again with pins for reinforcement and have been working on the trees this morning.
Take care and give your loved ones an extra hug.

  1. Hi Deb, I think a lot of us quilters retreated to our sewing rooms and did what comforts us too. Your snow picture is refreshing. Thanks.

  2. Ah! Your post was comforting to me too. I have a little grandson in kindergarten so yesterday hit way too close to home for me. I've also been cocooning in quilt therapy ;-/

  4. Thank you for acknowledging that somehow we bloggers cannot just have quilting as usual in the wake of such sorrow.
