At first I wanted a red backing but couldn't find anything I really liked in my stash and kept going back to this gold print. Oddly, I like the contrast of the modern print against the vintage look quilt top. I also like how the gold binding pulls out the gold in the center of the 9 patches.
I used gold Gutermann thread for the grid style walking foot quilting. This quilt really grew on me as I quilted it because the charm fabrics are so cute. I love these antique chairs...This winter time print...
And these adorable patchwork cows!
This quilt will be donated to Project Linus. I'm looking forward to picking out a new large project to start (10 UFO Finishes = UFO Reward Quilt) and I'll be sure to share it once I've decided on one! Just think, my next UFO Reward Quilt will come at 50 Finishes which means I'll be over halfway done busting my UFO Collection. How exciting is that?!?
I'm linking up to TGIFF, Can I Get a Whoop Whoop?, Finish It Up Friday, Let's Make Baby Quilts and Link a Finish Friday.
How cute, I just LOVE the cows :)
