October was my 1st full month of blogging. To say I've learned a lot would be an understatement. I am having such a great time and enjoying the wonderful people I am meeting along the way. Thank you readers!
I finished 6 quilts in October. Considering that I've been quilting since 2002 and have finished (quick mental count) maybe 12 quilts TOTAL before October that is pretty amazing! You can see my October finishes by clicking on my Finished Quilts tab. Hopefully by next month I'll figure out how to do a photo mosaic. Which quilt is my favorite? I can't decide between Blended Stars and Snowy Stars so it's a tie.

Yesterday I bit the bullet and confessed to having 88 UFOs. Certainly 2013 will be The Year of The UFO in my quilting room. The upside is that I'll have plenty of blog content! Tomorrow's post will be all about how I'm going to motivate myself to knock out UFOs. Let's just say it involves rewards! And, my 1st give-away will start tomorrow! Rewards all around!! Enough with the exclamation marks already. I can't help it - rewards make me giddy!!!
I'm linking up to Small Blog Meet and Fresh Sewing Day at Lily's Quilts. I get so inspired by seeing what other quilting bloggers are writing about. Not to mention lots of eye candy while I sip my coffee...
just love star quilts and these are both so pretty
ReplyDeleteI have never heard os anyone with 88 UFO's!
Good luck finishing those
88 UFOs! Love it - yes you will have lots of fodder for your blog! Finishing six quilts in one month is pretty amazing though. I like picmonkey.com for creating mosaics.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what number wows me more: six finished quilts in one month or 88 UFOs! WHOA! I love star quilts. Absolutely love them!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree, picmonkey is awesome and easy and best of all, free!
You've been busy this month! Welcome to blogging. I find it great for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteTwo very lovely quilts! 88 WIPs - wow! That would stress me out for sure! My mom started saying she is working on her PhD (projects half done) as a more fancy term:) An easy way to make mosaics is if you have your photos uploaded to Flickr and use the Mosaic maker at Big Huge Labs (which you can link to your Flickr account). It's free and easy and I can help you if you need it. I think a majority of bloggers use this method. Some use Picasa or Picmonkey(?) but I am unfamiliar with those.
ReplyDeleteI like both of your quilts but the blue one still really catches my eye. And I am going to make 2013 my finish it year too. And I am going to get things done!! I have been dreaming to long and now it's time to get real here! Good for you on the 6 finishes in October!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou Rock!!!!!
Gorgeous quilts you put me to shame finishing 6 in 1 month when I look at what I got done for the month, I'm now thinking that I better get a wriggle on.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful finishes, Deb! I'm sure all 88 UFOs are as beautiful as your other finished quilts and can't wait to see their reveal! Best of Luck with getting them finished.
ReplyDeleteLike Marit, I've used Big Huge Lab to make my mosaics.
Wowsers, 6 quilt finishes in 1 month well done, but 88 ufos should keep you busy!! Ange : )
ReplyDeleteI really like the Blended stars but they are both lovely. I am quite in awe of your 88 WIP! I thought i had a lot lying around forgotten but maybe not... I love Marit's comment about the PhD! Well done with the 6 finishes that is awesome!
ReplyDeleteFound you through Small Blog Meet.
Finishing 6 quilts in a month is simply spectacular! Well done!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Lily's Quilts -- star quilts are always a favorite, and yours are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSix quilts! That's amazing! If you keep up this level of productivity you'll be through those 88 in no time :)
