Goals for Q2 Finish-A-Long:
Given my present state of mind I think I'll go light on my goals. I've got a couple of trips, my son's graduation party to get ready for and the weather is finally starting to come around. While we still have a lot of snow some bare ground can be found which is pretty exciting. Here are 8 UFOs I would love to finish this quarter.
1. Minnesota Hot Dish, 2. Blue & Yellow Strings, 3. Warm 16 Patches, 4. 10 Path and Stiles Blocks, 5. Scrappy Strip Stacks, 6. Bouncing Balls II, 7. Hugs & Kisses, 8. Picnic in Serenade
I'd like to finish 3 of these in April and am going to pick (for the 3rd month in a row!!) Minnesota Hot Dish as my goal for A Lovely Year of Finishes. It just needs binding for heaven's sake!
The rest of my April goals are listed on my sidebar. I've got some catching up to do on my QALs but I think I just need to get STARTED on SOMETHING!
Here is a funny picture of Elsa totally crashed on my legs last weekend. We were watching March Madness and she was more than happy to really stretch out - don't you think her paws look like little flippers?
I'm linking up to these fun places.

Good luck! It will feel so good to get that binding on and the quilt finished :)
ReplyDeleteI think aiming for UFOs is a good goal, especially with the other plans you have.
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
Good on you for aiming high with the UFO's. I'm supposed to be finishing some this year, but I keep starting new ones.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! It's time to get back on the UFO bandwagon and get a few more finishes.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you are having a lapse at staying on track also. I haven't had a single finish in a couple of months. I was thinking I needed another UFO parade to jazz me up. Perhaps if I see the progress on on my old things I will feel a lot ore inspired to work on them. You did amazing last year. Perhaps it it time for you to coast and let the rest of us catch up.
ReplyDeletetake a clue from your kitty... rest a bit and recharge! Haven't seen you comment on my blog for a while, how's the "embracing imperfections" going? Here's to making plenty of mistakes along the way!

Your group of UFOs is pretty and varied. I'm especially drawn to your MN Hot Dish. The only one I've made was too scrappy to impress me. I like your controlled colors. It's lovely.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your goals for this quarter, but life gets in our way, doesn't it? At least we have our stitching to head back to when time allows.
silly kitty! 8 Ufos is a big goal. I have three which are all pretty small but I am feeling a little bit overwhelmed now that the garden needs to be tended to. That blue and yellow quilt is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLol, I can so relate to your "production" feelings, I too tend towards a feast or famine approach!
ReplyDeleteDo you do your bindings by machine or by hand? I do mine by machine and feel that because of that, I'm never reluctant to bind (now the quilting is another story entirely!!). That's definitely your easiest finish although only if it's not the thing you hate to do the most. Good Luck this quarter!
Ha! Your kitty is too much! I think creative people just ebb and flow, part of the state of being. Of course that could be the Pisces in me too! hahaha! Looking forward to what you finish up, lots of great choices there!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing Picnic in Serenade...that is going to be gorgeous! I made one in Denyse Schmidt fabrics and want to make another some time...wasn't the easiest one I have ever made, but love the look of it!
