This is so me right now! I feel like my mind is going 99 miles per hour in multiple directions... quilting, organizing, quilting, tax forms & paperwork, quilting, dreaming about warm beaches, quilting... you get the picture. All fun projects (minus the tax stuff!) but I just need to dial it down a few notches.
Someone isn't too happy about this situation! Elsa has started wrapping her front paws around Tucker's neck while giving him a major face baths and it is pretty darn cute and hilarious. She initiates all of their contact and cannot understand why Tucker doesn't chase her around the house like she is more than happy to do to him.
My Valentine's Plus quilt squares have been sewn together across each row and the rows are partially assembled. This has been such a fun project and it is making my quilting room such a cheerful place to be.
I hope to get it quilted in between my Olympic watching hours this weekend so I can cuddle up under it and sew down the binding. We are back yet again in the sub zero temperatures... it just will not stop. When I start feeling stir crazy - despite being a hermit by nature - something is quite wrong!
I'm linking up to Feline Friday@sarah did it!.
I've always loved to make things. Join me while I reboot my creativity, create a new quilting room and tackle LOTS of unfinished projects.
That kitten is SO cute.
ReplyDeleteCats and quilt all looking especially good. We are also in a deep freeze again this last couple of days, but I'm enjoying my hermit status today. I took most of the day off today and worked on some hand work while also doing a long conference call and doing some scheduling. And I'm planning to work on a binding tonight too while watching the Olympic ceremony. A day like this is a welcome "gift of time".
ReplyDeletePoor Tucker - it's been quite the changes for him. I am sure bath time must be adorable from our point of view. We are currently 18F but expecting wind chills of -20F again tonight. I do love the sunshine these cold temps bring but I am also ready for a good old fashioned 25F day!!
ReplyDeleteI love the V-Day quilt. Those fabrics are some of my favorites. I don't know if I'll catch any Olympics, but I do hope to get some quilting in this weekend.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy seeing a great plus design quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt is also freezing here. "They" say it is going to stay this cold for a few weeks at least. Argh winter is starting to get annoying. But your idea is excellent, I should get a flimsy quilted so I can snuggle while binding! Your plus quilt is very pretty, great job!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE your plus quilt. It would make any room cheerier. Have fun stitching.
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine Plus quilt would cheer this quilting room up too. I need to get to work on something cheery for the design wall. It's cold and dreary and I have enough as well ) Love your kitties.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful kitties, and your valentines quilt is looking great too. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteHa, Tucker and Elsa look exactly like Tycho and CC. She always wants to play and he just gives her that LOOK. He does let her cuddle...a little!
ReplyDeleteLove the Valentine's quilt. You picked a great array of fabrics to go with the Sandy stuff!
I do like the Plus quilt. It looks great.
ReplyDeleteCats are so funny, I just love them. The Valentine quilt is looking good. I love all the shades of pink and red.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute pair of kitty cats you have!! And your Valentine's quilt is pretty, too! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I did start one of the quilts, I could not resist. I was thinking pink and chocolate, but did not have enough of pink/brown fabrics in my stash. Mine is pink and yellow and red florals and it is little girl size. The top is pieced and ready to quilt! Thanks for the inspiration. When I blog about it I will link back to your quilt ... :) Pat
