It's surprising how much it can do besides just stitching in the ditch. I also think that crisp straight lines are under-appreciated as a motif to complement piecing. It is the best pie...I have a Juki also and love it. It is the best piecing machine. I use my walking foot to do all my piecing and started my quilting with it until I got my HQ16. I have the TL-98-Q. I love applying my binding with it and have used it in piecicng with certain fabrics. Things don't slide around quite as much when dealing with tricky seams. My 2 favorite styles of quilting are also straight lines and wavy lines.
